About CAMEO

Founded in 1986, our purpose is to protect the purebred Alaskan Malamute and to do everything possible to bring the breed's natural qualities to perfection, constantly being aware of improvements and progress.

This includes the following:

1. To strive and maintain the health and welfare of the breed through education.

2. To do all in our power to protect and advance interest in the breed by encouraging sportsmanlike competition at dog shows, obedience trials, and working activities.

3. To follow acceptable selective breeding and selling techniques.

4. To Disseminate information regarding care and grooming of the breed, exhibiting at dog shows, working activities, and congenital defects and diseases.

5. To collect and disseminate accurate information regarding the Alaskan Malamute, encouraging new owners and novices to become more experienced about the breed.

6. To conduct ourselves in a sportsman-like manner at all times in respect to this breed, promoting camaraderie between novice and experienced owners.

7. To provide social and informative meetings.

8. To conduct matches and working activities such as freight races and weight pulls and other events that protect and advance interest in the breed.
